in order to意思是“为了以便于”，表示目的，后跟动词原形，构成介词短语。有时in order可以省略，直接用to+动词原形表达也行。它的同意结构是in order that， 不过that 后面要跟句子，构成目的状语从句。如：I went to the shop( in order) to buy some fruit .= I went there in order that I could buy some fruit.不过前者是简单句，后者是复合句。
