摘要：A computer keyboard (100) has a pointing stick (130) integrally molded into andprojecting from a surface of a plastic housing (110). Keyboard keys (150) extend throughholes (120) in the same plastic housing. Strain-sensitive resistors (232, 234, 236, 238) areformed in a small location (240) onto a circuit substrate. The same circuit substrate (200)

that carries the strain-sensitive resistors also carries conductive pads (250) for the keyswitches. The strain-sensitive resistor location (240) is bonded to the housing adjacent thepointing stick (130), but on an opposite surface of the housing from the pointing stickprotrusion.
