1、As a college student, campus is our home, a warm and sunny house, you can find the vigor to live and sustain for ever. But do remember there is an unusual scenery you should pay great attention to, that is the love in the campus ,when it comes to this theme, various words rushed into my mind, I just can not help expressing to you, sweet, happy, wonderful, love for ever, there are so many pledges to be heard from the lovers, and everything turns to be elegant ,to this extent, and you ?Are you the lover between or are you just an audience with admiring feeling?

As for me ,take the unmature love for granted, although I am looking forward to having an excellent boy study and live with me, it is just a dream actually, we are still children ,do not have enough experience in love, we do not take in the spirit of true love, true love means everything even your precious life, here, we can say it is just a good feeling, a slight feeling because of well-dressed or handsome appearance , not by instinct, How about the personality or her habits, we do not know ,we just love her because she is so beautiful, only because of this. So love depends on this will certainly go not so further, one day, you find you two are unable to share in the same way, you will quit, leaving tears fallen down ,it turns out that love in the campus is commonly short and dreamful ,if I want to ,I

think I will first be ready for it ,I am a person who can not afford frequent hurt, especially hurt from my lover into my hurt.

So please take it easy, do not treat the love in the campus seriously, love is not so understandable ,it needs testing again and again ,I think after trials and errors ,you will finally be mature ,then you can use our sharp eyes to recognize people ,find who you really suit to ,then ,take it seriously ,then ,wish you two happy all your lives. 2、文化

The information revolution, the development of mass media and the achievements in

1

science and technology have doubtlessly ushered us in a rapidly progressing society, where we may have no time to talk about our traditional culture. In the city, no one can escape from the fast pace. We eat the popularized fast food and enjoy the popularized \"fast food\" culture. Since we get so used to such fast things that many traditional things have been neglected, some people believe that the traditional culture will gradually be lost, but I think it will never be lost.

Although entertainments are in abundance nowadays, traditional cultures still continue to dominate. We still regard going to a concert as a luxury. Many classic books touch a string from generation to generation in spite of time and space. And we are still moved by the inspirational spirits of our great ancestors. Traditional festivals remind us of our disposition to the traditional culture. Our relief in traditional culture gets ready to revive at any time.

To some traditional cultures that are on decline, we have taken active measures to conserve them. Experts have come up with proper advice on protecting such cultures. Many volunteers have dedicated themselves to studying them. First and foremost, more and more people have discerned the importance of the traditional culture. Therefore, we are sure that our efforts will lead to a brilliant future.

If a culture wants to gain an eternal life, it should change itself to cater to the people in its age. So does our traditional culture. Traditional cultures adhering to modern means appear rigorous. For example, we make CDs for classic music so that it can not only meet modern needs but also spread further and more successfully in the modern world. The appearance of traditional culture changes, but the essence will never change and will be well accepted.

There is no need to worry about whether our traditional culture will be lost. It is an important heritage of the whole human race. No culture, no mankind. We cherish the traditional culture as we cherish our blood in our body. The traditional culture lies in life, forever continuing.

3、Money and the Meaning of Life

Recently, a professor of philosophy in the United States has written a book called Money and the Meaning of Life. He has discovered that how we deal with money in our day-to-day life has more meaning than we usually think. One of the exercises he asked his students to do is to keep a record of every penny they spend for a week. From the way they spend their money, they can see what they really value in life.

He says our relation with others often becomes clearly defined when money enters the picture. You might have a wonderful friendship with somebody and you think that you are very good friends. But you will know him only when you ask him to lend you some money. If he does, it brings something to the relationship that seems stronger than ever before. Or it can suddenly weaken the relationship if he doesn't. This person may say that he has a certain feeling, but if it is not carried out in the money world, there is something less real about it.

People just have an idea of making more and more money, but what is it for? How much do I need for any given purposes in my life7 In his book, the professor uncovered an important need in modern society: to bring back the idea that money is an instrument rather than the end. Money plays an important role in the material world, but expecting money to give happiness may be missing the meaning of life. 4、pet

Recently, three owls appeared suddenly on our campus. They made me think of my pet from childhood. When I was little, we had an owl at home. It was small, gray, and had two big eyes. We liked it very much. Every time I went home, it greeted me by making “goo-goo” sounds. We always played with it and talked to it. It would blink its eyes just like it understood what we were saying. It was like my best friend. But when the weather became colder, we forgot to keep it warm, and it died. It made us

3

sad for a long time, and it also taught me how important it is to take care of animals.

How do People Treat Animals?

Many people now keep animals as pets. Some people have cats and dogs in their houses. Other people like fish, caged birds, tortoises and even snakes, monkeys or lions. Millions of dollars and much time are spent every year on pet food, equipment, taming and medical treatment.

Of course, there are some people who do not look after their pets properly or are even cruel to them. For this reason a royal society was created in 1824 in Britain to prevent cruel treatment of animals. In contrast to the love of pets is the fact that blood sports still exist in most conntries. People go hunting foxes, elephants, pandas, ducks, rabbits, pheasants and other animals, not because they need the meat to eat, but just for pleasure. In some countries, blood sports like bull fighting and cock fighting are common and huntig rare animals for commercial purposes has brought about an even more serious problem in the protection of the ecosystem.

It is strange that people love certain animals, but enjoy killing others, in cruel ways, too.

5、About Friendship

Friendship is a kind of human relations. It is a human instinct to make friends.

When in trouble, we need friends to offer us help, support and encouragement. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys.

Friendship is also one of the greatest pleasures that we can enjoy. It implies loyalty, cordiality, sympathy, affection, and readiness to help. No man can make the most of his life without carefully and conscientiously striving to win the right kind of friends as he goes along.

Knowing how valuable friendship is, we should be very careful in making friends.

4

Real friends are those who have good character, superior ability and kindness of heart. Real friends can share all our sorrows and double all our joys. While making friends, we should take care to select those who have such fine qualities. Then we should treat our friends with courtesy, be careful not to interfere unreasonably with them, and not to ridicule their proceedings. We should forgive their failures and do our best to help them. In short, when we have established friendship, we ought to cherish and treasure it by means of words and deeds. Only thus, can we develop real friendship and keep the sacred lamp of friendship burning all our life. 6 、Internet

Everything lives with opposite forces. The same can be said about modern technology, such as Internet.

At first glance Internet offers us excitement and a worl of promise. Frankly speaking, people who have some ideas of it can not deny the merits born with the system. For instance, it can improve proficiency in scientific research, for by means of it scientists and researchers can get a global look at the latest development in the field concerned and accordingly they need spend no time doing what has already been done. In view of personal communication, the most convenient means could be peculiar to Internet, too.

While people speak highly of Internet, its drawbacks shouldn't be neglected. Sometimes, a little fatal breakdown of the system, or a disastrous error could bring us an enormous amount of damage and loss. Meanwhile, with Internet's replacement of hooks or the written work as the main source of information, human's writing abilities are weakened and relations between people are desalinated.

However,

every

country

on

this

planet

should

work

hard

to develop the system to serve us more efficiently and comfortably, because in the net all countries are interrelated.

7、Career planning

There is great variety in the world of work. The task of selecting the right work from the thousands of available choices takes vocational planning. Individuals need to know many things about themselves and many things about the world of work.

There are several factors to be considered when choosing a vocation. Each is essential to making a good vocational choice.

Aptitudes: What kinds of aptitudes do the individual have? What does one do well and enjoy doing? Is working with plants or animals, for example, or dealing with people a pleasant experience? Some people prefer to work alone. What seems some may be difficult for others.

Interests: Another factor to consider is the individual’s interests. What school subjects does one like? What hobbies does a person have? These factors are clues to knowing the type of job to consider education and training.

Wages and salaries: Some jobs pay more than others. The more training a position requires, the more likely it is to pay a higher salary. Occupations that have a labor shortage tend to pay higher salaries than those for which there are many able candidates.

Physical demands: Choosing a vocation should also be done with a realistic attitude toward its physical demands in relation to one’s own physical attributes. The pursuit of a vocation is no time for wishful thinking or trying to reach far beyond one’s range of talents, experiences, and aptitudes. Vocational choice, however, is an opportunity to grow, improve oneself, and make a contribution to society.

Making a career plan does not mean that a specific series of events will occur. 8、health

There are many people who think that wealth is better than health. Which is more important, health or wealth? It is a hot topic among people. I can hardly answer this question. I didn't realize that health is more imporant until I saw a businessman's real life.

A successful businessman, one of my father's friends, devoted himseff to his business. He works from morning to night every day. There

6

is no weekends in his mind. He often says, \"I must earn much money so that I can get what I want. \"Lately, he is ill. Though he has a lot of money, he can do nothing but lie in the hospital's bed.

So I think health is more important than wealth. People can do nothing if they are always in poor health, let alone happiness. No matter we are rich or not, we can not ignore the importance of health. 9、holidays

It is common in English to ask people about their holidays. In the West many families go away on holiday during the summer months and so it is very usual to ask about this. If the holiday has not yet taken place, then their holiday plans can be talked about. And if it is already over, then where they went, whether they enjoyed it and so on can be discussed. Similar questions are asked before festivals and pubic holidays.

Foreigners living and working in China often have frequent opportunities for travel, either at weekends or during their holiday periods, so questions on this topic can often lead to fruitful discussions. They may be particularly interested to hear comments on which places are worth visiting and why, especially if these places are a little less well known and not clearly described in the tour guides.

Take vacaticn and long weekends. Never let vacation time expire. 10、memory

Some people have very good memory and can easily learn quite long poems by heart. There are other people who can only remember things when they have repeated them again and again. Many of the great men of the world have wonderful memories.

A good memory is a help in learning a foreign language. Everybody

7

learns his own language by remembering what he hears when he was a small child, and some children----like boys and girls who live abroad with their parents----seem to learn two languages as easily as one. In school it is not so easy to learn a second language because the pupils have so little time for it, and they are very busy with other subjects as well.

A man's mind is rather like a camera, but it takes photos not only of what we see but also what we feel, hear, smell and taste. When we take a real photo with a camera, there is much to do before the photo is finished and is ready for us to show to our friends. In the same way there is much work to be done before we can keep a picture forever in our minds.

Memory is the diary we all carry about us. We keep things we have experienced in this diary.
