15、 A dragonfly, only an inch and a half long, appears to be animal world's best long distance travelerflying thousands of miles overoceans as it moves from continent to continent----- according to a newly published research.Biologists who lead the study say the evidence is in the genes. They found that populations of this

dragonfly, called Pantala flavescens, in Texas, eastern Canada, Japan, Korea, India, and South America, have genes so similar that there is only one likely explanation. Obviously these dragonflies are traveling distances that are quite long for their small size, breeding with each other, and creating a common gene pool. But how do dragonflies from different continents manage to meet and breed? Ware says it appears to be the way their bodies have evolved. For example, they increased surface areas on their wings that enable them to use the wind to carry them.

Dragonflies, in fact, have already been found crossing the Indian Ocean from Asia to Africa. \"They are following the weather,\" says Daniel Troast. \"They're going from India where it's dry season to Africa where it's wet season, and they do it once a year.”

Wetness is important for Pantala, and that is why they would take such a dangerous trip. Though many will die on the route, as long as enough make it, the species survives. For the moment, the details of this wonderful insect trip are an educated best guess. Much more work is needed to be done. Ware and Troast hope that scientists can work on figuring out those routes.

C.There are many Pantala flavescens in different continents. D.Pantala fiavescens in different continents have similar genes. 2.What may help Pantala flavescens fly over so long distance? A.Their special body shape. C.Their small and light body.

3.What is necessary for Pantala flavescens to breed? A.Wet weather.

B.Warm places.

C.Dry environment. D.Enough sunshine.

4.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.Scientists have found the details of the trip. B.Dragonflies leave India because of the dry season.

C.Dragonflies can hardly survive after such a dangerous trip. D.The dragonfly is animal world's best short distance traveler.

While Westerners were getting used to paying with credit cardsor bank cards at the very beginning of the (信用卡)21st century, most Chinese people still liked to pay in cash (paper money) out of habit. However, today, Chinese people may be leading the world in mobile payment, mainly WeChat Pay and Alipay.

Foreigners feel amazed when Chinese people buy everything with their phones. At least, this was the case for Lim Swee Say, Manpower Minister of Singapore.

When Lim was waiting in line to buy some snacks at a street stall(货摊)in Shanghai, he saw other customers show their phones and take the food without giving over any cash. Soon after, he realized that the customers were using mobile payment. \"Singapore is actually backward(落后)\" , said Lim

● Most shops in China, from a tiny shop in villages to a huge shopping center in big cities, all offer the service of mobile payment. And by the end of last year, Hangzhou Public Transportation System installed the mobile payment machine on 8,000 downtown buses.

● With Chinese travelers throughout the world, it's now common to see the familiar green or blue QR codes in tourist sights around the world.

19、The flu (流感)season runs from October to March every year. This year it has been especially bad. It is reported that 114 children in the US died in February.

The flu hits children and elderly people the hardest. This is because they have weaker immune system. It is easy for them to get the flu.

In fact, most people don’t know much about the flu. The influenza virus causes the flu. The virus can get on your hands. If you touch your nose or mouth, you can get the flu. Because some patients pay no attention to the flu, it starts very suddenly and spreads from person to person closely in public.

How do we keep the flu away? We should get lots of rest and exercise. Put on enough clothes to keep warm. Take a shower every day and wash hands often. Remember if anyone around us has the flu, take it seriously and make sure they go to the hospital as soon as possible.
